Description
Dr. Elena Dozio is Associate Professor of Clinical Pathology (MED/05) at the University of Milan and Director of the Residency School in Clinical Pathology and Clinical Biochemistry. She obtained her degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, a PhD in Endocrinological and Metabolic Sciences, and a specialization in Human Nutrition at the University of Milan.
Her research activity focuses on cardiometabolic diseases, with particular emphasis on cytokines, adipokines, and biomarkers of organ damage, including the AGE-RAGE system, in the context of obesity, cardiovascular, and renal diseases. She has extensive experience in both in vitro/in vivo experimental models and translational clinical research.
She has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications (H-index 31) and has served as corresponding author in several studies. She has participated in and led national and institutional research projects as Principal Investigator.
She is actively involved in teaching within medical degree programs and postgraduate schools, and participates in academic governance activities. She serves as reviewer and editor for several international journals and is a member of scientific societies.
