In the field of Plant Pathology, she is involved in
- the study of the biological activity of new antifungal molecules against fungal pathogens of economically important crops
- the study of fungicide resistance mechanisms, particularly resistance to Strobilurins in Pyricularia oryzae (the causative agent of rice blast) or metrafenone resistance in Erysiphe necator (the causative agent of grapevine powdery mildew)
- the study of alternative defense methods to fungicides, which could be used for the biological control of plant diseases
- the study of microorganisms acting as biological control agents and growth promoters, particularly streptomyces, and their interactions with host plants.
