TEACHING ACTIVITY
Dr. Contini taught Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Milano, and at the faculty of Medicine, University of Brescia since a.a. 2006/2007. He also taught “Application of Informatics Techniques to Bioorganic Chemistry” at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Milano.

SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY
The scientific activity is documented by more than 80 articles on international peer reviewed journals, 1 patent application, 1 article on a national journal, 3 book chapter and several communications at national and international congresses ((Total H index 23. The research activity concerns organic and computational chemistry, in particular:
•Study of reaction mechanisms by using quantum-mechanical techniques (ab-initio, DFT, MP2).
•Computational and spectroscopic studies of chemical equilibria, optical and spectroscopic properties of organic molecules.
•Studies of Structure Activity Relationships (SAR), 3D-QSAR, virtual screening, and interactions between bioactive molecules and their biological target by mean of docking, molecular mechanics and quantum mechanics.
•Computational studies of the folding mechanisms of biomacromolecules.
•Synthesis of bioactive heterocyclic compounds.
