Effective farming practices to protect water resources in Mediterranean rice-based agroecosystems (PROMEDRICE)

Project
L’obiettivo di PROMEDRICE è quello di sviluppare e promuovere l'adozione di pratiche innovative in azienda che mirino a ridurre l’impatto degli agro-ecosistemi a riso sulle risorse idriche superficiali e sotterranee, fornendo prove scientifiche a sostegno delle decisioni dei responsabili politici in merito alla gestione sostenibile delle risorse idriche.
Come in MEDWATERICE, il coinvolgimento di gruppi locali di portatori di interesse (Stake-Holder Panels) nei diversi passi del progetto faciliterà l'integrazione delle conoscenze locali nella co-progettazione di misure site-specifiche, facilitandone poi l’adozione nei territori attraverso sperimentazioni condotte in pieno campo (Graversgaard et al., 2017;
Liefferink 2021). I risultati ottenuti dalle sperimentazioni nelle aziende risicole saranno estesi alla scala territoriale tramite strumenti modellistici di diversa complessità, per ottenere dati utili a supportare la decisione in merito alla gestione integrata delle risorse idriche, obiettivo generale della Diretttiva Quadro sulle Acque (WFD 2000/60/EC).
