Objectives
Task 1: Selection and optimization of a suitable plant-derived scaffold for cultivating muscle cells, based on previous works (Giromini et al., in press; Liu et al., 2025).
Task 2: Proliferation and differentiation of muscle cells (murine C2C12 line and/or primary bovine and porcine myoblasts) on the selected scaffold.
Task 3: Lyophilization and formulation of mixtures containing different scaffold–cell ratios for compositional and nutritional assessment.
Task 4: In vitro nutritional and functional evaluation of the developed scaffolds.
Task 5: Fortification with vitamin D and vitamin B12 of cells and scaffold during or after cell culture to improve nutritional completeness.
