Abstract:
Lung transplantation is the only treatment for end-stage lung disease in selected patients. Postoperative recovery of ventilatory function may be influenced by several factors, with the diaphragm playing a key role. The aim of this pilot study was to investigate the effect of bilateral lung transplantation on the function of the diaphragm.
