Territorial pacts and local level concertation in Europe : a multi-level governance perspective

The report presents the results of a specific sub-project of research which was part of the broad NEWGOV research programme, co-ordinated by the European University Institute in Florence, within the 6th European Framework Programme. This specific sub-project looked at the role of territorial pacts and other forms of partnerships at the local level in forging new approaches to the resolution of critical issues in the field of social and labour market policies. In particular, the possibilities of local-level concertation in Europe within a multi-level governance perspective were explored.
