Abstract:
The chapter describes the main respiratory problems that people with Down syndrome may experience. In particular, are examined the following: the propensity to respiratory infections, the anatomical changes of the tracheobronchial tree, the pulmonary hypertension, the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) and lung cancer.
