Tumore dei plessi coriodei nel cane : diagnostica tomografica e correlazioni istopatologiche

The aim of this study was to report Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging and histopathological findings in 3 dogs with Choroid Plexus Tumors and to determine if there are distinguishing features that allow tomographic discrimination between benign and malignant forms. After verifying the presence of tomographic mass inside brain, the subjects were put to sleep and a histopathological exam was performed, with diagnosis of choroid plexus tumors (2 carcinomas and 1 papilloma). Detection and characterization of brain neoplasia was obtained with both CT and MRI and results were consistent with histopathological diagnosis, although the latter remains the only method that allows differentiation between the two forms.
