• 2021. Collaboration project (1 month) conwith Società Distillerie Bonollo SpA (Milan). Research activity carried out at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (University of Milan).
RESEARCH ACTIVITY
During my academic experience, initially as an undergraduate and PhD student (University of Milan) and later as a post-doctoral fellow (University of Milan), my research activity has been focused on pharmaceutical analysis, with particular regard to the development and application of innovative analytical strategies based on High Resolution Mass Spectrometry (HR-MS) for i) the identification of biologically active small molecules in plant matrices by metabolomics studies, elucidation of their ADME properties and mechanism of action; ii) the characterization of proteins and thus new molecular targets by proteomics studies.
In detail, the main research lines developed can be detailed as follows:
• Analytical strategies for the study of natural extracts: bioavailability, bioactivity and mechanism of action studies;
• Oxidative stress and evaluation of antioxidant strategies;
• Quantitative proteomics studies: quantitative analysis of the variation of protein profiles due to the presence of a morbid state or a specific therapeutic treatment;
My research activity started in 2013 and led to the publications of almost 27 papers in peer reviewed journals, (h-index: 8; citations: 363 (by 351 documents); averaged impact factor: 4,92) and participation to several national and international congresses with 7 oral presentations.
