From 2014 until today only collaborations within the Department of Health Sciences
Scientific Activity
In the three years from 1995 to 1998, the following lines of research were developed prior to confirmation:
A) Anatomy of the cranio-maxillo-facial district
B) Study of the hair follicle in humans
C) Immunological studies in Primitive Biliary Cirrhosis
A) Studies on the growth and development of the craniofacial district, evaluating, by mathematical method, cephalometric traces in anterolateral projection of individuals from 1 to 18 years.
B) Effects of chemotherapy (alopecia), study of the damaged site.
C) Study of liver diseases in particular primary biliary cirrhosis (CBP).
Study of anti-carbonic anhydrase II (CA II) antibodies, antibodies indicated in the literature as a marker for the diagnosis of PBC in AMA patients (anti-mitochondrial antibodies) negative.
1998-2014
Fetal microchimerism study, as a possible factor responsible for the etiopathogenesis of CBP.
Role of the T-cell receptor in autoimmune diseases (autoimmune hepatitis, diabetes I, nephropathy) but particularly in CBP.
Study on the correlation between renal tubular acidosis and primitive biliary cirrhosis with evaluation of various parameters such as Ph, NAG enzyme and Beta Glucosidase.
Multi-center study (samples from many Italian centers) case-control analysis of HLA. in CBP.
Validation of serological tests for the diagnosis of PBC [three main mitochondrial (MIT3) and nuclear (gp210 and sp100) antigens directed against IgG / IgA for the detection of samples that may be weak positive or negative for tests with a monospecific conjugate (IgG only) ]
Soluble receptor study of IL2 (sIL2R),
Role of the telomere-telomerase complex in the CBP
From 1999 to 2014
Study of deletions of chromosome 7 and in particular of the 7q31.1 region in myeloid myelodysplasia and leukemia
Study of patients with chronic lymphatic leukemia, rearrangement of IgG
From 2015
Study of the Notch mechanism, in study Notch signal activation in hepatocellular carcinoma and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma
