L'educazione religiosa dei figli nei matrimoni misti : l'ordinamento canonico tra diritto e pastorale

The paper regards the religious education of children. It begins with a premise on differences between secular legal systems and religious legal systems. In particular, the paper analyzes the legal profiles of the religious education of children in Canon law. Growing children in Catholic beliefs is a legal and ethical imperative for Catholic parents. This obligation raises several problems in case of mixed marriages. Finally, the paper analyzes some experiences of particular Churches, that ‘attenuate’ the obligation of providing Catholic education in case of mixed marriages.
