Abstract:
To the Editor: We were interested in the report by Gyger and Bonny1in the November 5 issue, concerning the possible onset of acute nonlymphocytic leukemia in children with repeated infections, cytopenia, and monosomy 7. Since acute nonlymphocytic leukemia is uncommon in childhood, we think it is of interest to report on a child with monosomy 7, defective neutrophil chemotaxis, and high susceptibility to infections, in whom erythroleukemia subsequently developed.
