Abstract:
The author focuses on the Laudes Domini, an anonymous 148-hexameters poem dedicated to Constantine, telling the story of a recent miracle wrought by Christ among the Aedui. The Laudes Domini might have been composed at Autun in 313-314 by a student of the local schools of rhetoric, longing to show off both as an Aeduus and as a romanized Christian.
