Abstract:

In this paper we outline the architecture of OCCAM, a system for the enhancement of mammograms and the segmentation of embedded microcalcifications. A first prototype of OCCAM has been developed in C++ language upon the FLOWeR platform*, an innovative object-oriented information system which fully supports all management and executive operations that concern radiological departments.
