Abstract:
Some connections between the concepts of boundary and of norming set of a Banach space and the linear structure are investigated. In particular we prove that, if X is a Banach space which does not contain an isomorphic copy of
c_0, B subset of S_X is a boundary of X and H is a maximal linearly independent subset of B, then H is norming.
