Cibo ‘religioso’ e diritto : a margine di quattro recenti pubblicazioni

This paper aims to highlight new lines of research, by examining four recent publications about religious food rules. Three research perspectives may be assessed. The first one investigates religious communities’ food-related rules, their nature and their possible comparison. The second one concerns about the effects produced by the observance of religious food rules in secular legal systems, envisaging models of ‘positive’ secularism. The third and last research perspective deals with the relationship between religious food rules and the market, in particular the problems about halal and kosher certifications.
