Considerazioni sulla costituzionalità della legge italiana sulle unioni civili

The paper analyses the so called “Law Cirinnà” that provides a legal recognition to civil unions in Italy. Firstly, the article doubts the idea that this law was necessary in light of the articles 2 and 3 of the Constitution. Secondly, it wonders to which extent the operation of equating marriage and civil unions is consistent with the article 3.
