More accurate requirements to feed “modern” sows A correct nutrition is a key point to maximize sows’ productive efficiency. However, the nutritional requirements listed in official tables do not seem, nowadays, anymore adequate to fulfil the needs of the “modern” sow, that is characterised by a potentially high prolificity and milk production. In this article the authors discuss the benefits that a rationing more adequate to the present conditions can have in sows breeding.
