Abstract:
Grape (Vitis vinifera L.) is a phenol-rich plant, and the phenolics are mainly distributed in the skin and seed of grape. The polyphenolic profiles of ten wine grapes ('Aldari', 'Areni' clone, 'Hadisi', 'Kakhet', 'Karmrahyut', 'Sev Kharji', 'Tozot', 'Muscat tuyl', 'V1', 'Burmunq') and ten table grapes ('Erebuni', 'Hayreniq', 'Karmir icaptuk', 'Podarok Rosii', '99/1 Derei', 'Ararat', 'Ayvazyani muscateni', 'Hayastan', 'Muscat Yerevani', 'Shahumyan') were determined and compared. The results indicate that 'Aldari' (3463.88 mg/kg of grape), 'Karmrahyut' (3143.31 mg/kg of grape) and 'Tozot' (1990.18 mg/kg of grape) traditionally used in Armenia as wine grapes, have the highest total phenolic content and the table grapes have the lowest total phenolic content.
