Abstract:
The italian legal system distimguishes from long time the town plannnig and the land planning for wide areas. This second type of planning is related with economic and social planning. The essay shows the slow implementation of the land planning, the limits of the town planning, the effects of the recent reforms of local government on the two types of planning and some legal sides of town and land planning in connection with sustainable development.
