Riassorbimento radicolare : Revisione della letteratura

Objectives The aim of the article is to perform a review about root resorption and its correlation with orthodontics, as well as to discover possible diagnostic methods. Materials and methods In order to perform a systematic research, it was consulted the Medline database. The searches retrieved 4,090 result; 357 of them were reviews and 159 papers were selected because of their relevance about the subject. Results and conclusions The study did not show a definitive therapy. Taking into consideration the prevalence of the problem, it is important to perform an early diagnosis through careful control of high-risk cases, such as the traumatized elements or patients during orthodontic treatments.
