Disappearing from the world: Robert Walser's artistic path. The aim of my thesis is to explain why Robert Walser decided to disappear from the real and from the artistic wolrd spending the last thirty years of his life in a psychiatric clinic. Subjects of my thesis are: nonconformity, anti-Bildungsroman, the will to be small and to serve, the walk, the microgramms and the illness and at the end Robert Walser's poetry and style.
