Epilessia a parossisimi rolandici : pattern critici clinici e infraclinici in 10 pazienti

We describe the electroclinical pattern of seizures in 10 patients, aged 7-23 years, with partial epilepsy and centrotemporal spikes, with at least 3 years of follow-up. We recognized three different patterns: the first one is the pattern previously described characterized by fast activity of rhythmic spikes (4 children); the second one is constituted by slow spike-waves progressively increasing in frequency and amplitude (3 children), the third one is characterized by initial theta activity followed by fast rythmic spikes (1 child). Besides we describe in 4 children subclinical events, characterized by electric acitivity of fast and rhythmic spikes, and no clinical signs.
