Abstract:
During the pilot phase of a trial to evaluate the effectiveness of caesarean section delivery compared with vaginal delivery in reducing mother-to-child transmission of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, the feasibility of randomisation to mode of delivery was assessed.
