Woolly Hair nevus : osservazioni su tre casi clinici

Three cases of woolly-hair naevus are described. This unusual form is a congenital circumscribed lesion of the scalp marked by curly, uncombable and usually fairer hair. A brief survey of the recept literature is followed by presentation of the results of an examination of such hair under the scanning electron microscope. Attention is drawn to the absence of cuticle, the presence of trichorrhexis nodosa lesions, and occasional nodes (as also noted with a certain frequency under the light microscopy).
