Detection and identification of chrysanthemum stunt viroid (CSVd) in Lombardia : Isolamento e identificacione del viroide del rachitismo del crisantemo (CSVd) in Lombardia

Nucleic acid extraction, electrophoresis, Northern blot and molecular hybridization were used to identify chrysanthemum stunt viroid as the causal agent of severe stunting and premature flowering of chrysanthemums in Lombardia, Italy. The symptoms were reproduced by mechanical inoculations.
