Let E be a very ample bector bundle of rank n-1 over a smooth complex projective variety X of dimension n \ge 3. Let k be the
Kodaira dimension of K_X+ det E.
The structure of (X,E) being known when k \le 0, we investigate the structure of the adjunction mapping when 0 < k < n.
