Abstract:
The anion [Rh11(CO)23]3-, obtained through oxidation of [Rh7(CO)16]3- or various redox condensations, contains a metal polyhedron of ideal D3h, symmetry which can be described as being the result of a face-to-face condensation of three octahedral sub-units.
