Abstract:
Griseofulvin (GF) treatment was found to increase segregation of the 8AG-sensitive parental type in hybrids produced between HGPRT- and HGPRT+ clonal derivatives of the human heteroploid line EUE. Continued platings in 8AG medium after a period of growth in medium without 8AG revealed the same degree of stability of the character both in the spontaneous and the induced segregants. Induced segregation rate (ISR), i.e., the ratio between the frequency of 8AG-resistant colonies from treated and untreated cells, showed a marked variation among different hybrids.
