Abstract:

Isaiah Berlin is famous for his inaugural lecture on 'Two Concepts of Liberty', which deals with political liberty or freedom. However, he wrote exensively also about another kind of freedom, freedom of the will. The essay is a discussion of Berlin's ideas on the free will vs. determinism issue, and of their role in the development of Oxford Philosophy.
