A verification of equitransference of the aqueous cesium chloride salt bridge from the emf. of transference cells with cesium amalgam electrodes

From emf. measurements on homoionic transference cells with Ce amalgam electrodes, of type CsxHg1-x|CsCl aq,m1||CsCl aq,m2|CsxHg1-x, aq. cesium chloride has been characterized as an outstanding, closely equitransferent, ultra-concd. salt bridge, much more qualified and effective than the popular KCl bridge for elimination of liq. junction potentials. It is recommended in pH-metric, pion-metric and titrimetric detns. esp. for use at junctions with highly concd., strongly acidic, or strongly alk. sample solns.
