Abstract:
Let L be a very ample line bundle over a smooth complex 4-fold X. Suppose that the linear system |L| contains a reducible element A+B, where A and B are smooth irreducible divisors meeting transversally. We provide a list of such pairs (X,L) for which the sectional genus of A and B with respect to L is zero.
