Abstract:
The thesis describes the discovery of mono- and poly-valent glycomimetic compounds which inhibit the dendritic cell lectin DC-SIGN. Some of these compounds also showed a high activity as inhibitors of DC-SIGN mediated HIV infection on model cells.
