Abstract:

COVID-19 may result in pneumonia and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). The possible sequelae may include a spectrum of functional impairments, mostly deriving from peripheral and central nervous system involvement. Early recognition of these conditions may lead to earlier treatment and consequently improve the recovery. In this report, we describe a patient with extra-pulmonary sequelae after a Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) infection.
