Abstract:
This is detailed presentation of the biography and intellectual profile of P. Lewin, one of the best known specialists in Ukrainian literature of the 17-18th century, especially of theatrical literature. P. Lewin´s human and scientific personality is placed in the context of the evolution of Slavic studies in the Soviet and post-Soviet time.
