Ethics and disciplines at Helmstedt : Aristotelian debates in the scholarly career of Nicolaus Andreae Granius

This chapter explores the seminal contribution of the Swedish mathematician Nicolaus Andreae Granius. As a professor of natural philosophy, Granius included ethics in his background and took part in several disputations on ethical themes. It describes Granius's interest, such as the deriving didactic approach, that was driven by an epistemological purpose in which ethics was in constant interaction with adjacent disciplines and topics.
