Among religious freedom, insult and freedom of art: when the word

The contrast between freedom of expression and freedom of religion is perceived as unavoidable in the contemporary society even if these fundamental rights are not theoretically two antithetical principles. The core question is where to draw the line and distinguish what can be considered a legitimate manifestation of freedom of expression and of freedom of religion, on the one side, and what is outrageous and incitement to religious hatred, on the other side, especially as regards some forms of artistic expression.
