Le décor peint de la crypte de S. Filastrio dans la Rotonda de Brescia

My paper concerns the remains of the painted decoration of the crypt of S. Filastrio in the ancient cathedral of Brescia, called the Rotonda. Taking Marco Rossi's monograph of 2004 as a starting point, I will reflect on the iconography of the apse. It will first be useful to reason about the construction phases of the crypt, in order to propose a dating of the mural paintings and consequently a patronage scenario. Then, after having restored the painted theophany in detail, we will try to frame it in relation to the liturgical space
