Abstract:
The article aims to propose an example of the integration of a social network for teaching Italian L2 as a language of instruction. After briefly summarising the existing literature on the advantages of using social networks for glottodidactic purposes, the article analyses a sample of Italian language courses for foreigners hosted on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. The aim is to gather information on their structure, contents and organisation, as well as on how they interact with the virtual audience of followers-learners and their perception of the contents. Statements on the most popular modes and types of content will be collected, especially concerning the possibilities of multimodality. The data thus obtained is processed to propose a permanent workshop project for secondary schools.
