Hermetia illucens for a Green agricolture (HIGA)

Project
“HiGa aims to improve the European protein self-sufficiency while reducing the fertilizer use and GHG emissions through collaborative research. Using a multi-actor approach, capitalizing already acquired knowledge in insects, aquaculture and ruminants production systems, soil fertility, gas emission, and environmental aspects, HiGa applies the circular economy principle developing a sustainable and innovative value chain that benefits both the farmers and society.
