Il progetto si basa sullo studio dell’efficacia terapeutica del nuovo attivatore di Sirtuina 1, SRT2104, in un modello murino severo di distrofia muscolare di Duchenne. Questo modello sviluppa, esattamente come i pazienti, cardiomiopatia e ci permetter‡ quindi di valutare gli effetti del farmaco sia a livello del muscolo scheletrico, che del muscolo cardiaco
