Branched chain amino acids-induced persistent metabolic shift towards oxidative phosphorylation in immune and neural cells: a potential new therapy for Progressive Multiple Sclerosis

Questo progetto si prefigge di studiare, per la prima volta, la metabolic signature (metabolomica) del SNC in modelli preclinici di sclerosi multipla progressiva (P-MS). Ciò fornirà nuove informazioni sui meccanismi patogenetici legati alla fase cronica della SM progressiva e potrà gettare le basi per ulteriori studi volti a valutare l’efficacia della modulazione del metabolismo cellulare come terapia disease modifying la P-MS.
