Deciphering host-pathogen interactions to eradicate intracellular mycobacteria pathogens

Questo progetto mira a decifrare il "crosstalk" molecolare tra Mycobacterium tuberculosis e Mycobacterium abscessus (il primo causa della la tubercolosi umana e il secondo induce infezioni in pazienti con fibrosi cistica), e il loro ospite al fine di creare una nuova terapia diretta all'ospite che sradicherà questi patogeni intracellulari, evitando al contempo la resistenza ai farmaci.
