Chain for Innovative ReCycling: sea Urchin food by-products for zero waste-based muLtiple Applications (CIRCULAr)

Il progetto si propone di riconvertire completamente gli scarti derivanti dall’industria alimentare del riccio di mare in prodotti diversificati quali: membrane a base di collagene di riccio da utilizzare nell’ambito della medicina rigenerativa (rigenerazione della pelle) e supplementi per la mangimistica del pollame. Il progetto prevede un approccio fortemente multidisciplinare che include la zoologia di base, la chimica dei composti naturali, l’ingegneria tissutale, la gestione o ottimizzazione dell’allevamento di polli, le analisi economiche e ambientali (LCA).
