Emissions, Exposure Patterns and Health Effects of Consumer Products

Project

EPHECT is a European collaborative action, which has received funding from the European Union, in the framework of the Health Programme. EPHECT focuses on consumer products, known to be potential sources of hazardous and other health relevant air pollutants in dwellings. The main aim is to identify and quantify a set of key indoor air pollutants and emerging pollutants emitted by a selection of consumer product classes, whilst simulating typical European use conditions. These outcomes of EPHECT will provide applicable tools to reduce the risk associated to the indoor use of consumer products and will lead to a healthier indoor environment for citizens.
