Description
Valentino Liberali received the degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pavia in 1986.
He is now with the University of Milano, Department of Physics, where he is an associate professor of Electronics.
Past employments were a scholarship from SGS (now STMicroelectronics) in 1986, a three-year contract with the Italian Nuclear Physics Institute (INFN) for the development and characterisation of low-noise electronics for particle detectors from 1987 to 1990, and an Assistant Professor position at the Department of Electronics of the University of Pavia from 1990 to 2000.
His research activity was mainly focussed on the design of integrated circuits in CMOS technology, including analog/digital converters, sensor interfaces, memories for aerospace applications. He was also involved in research topics specific for mixed-signal integrated systems: CAD, testing, crosstalk through substrate and interconnections. Now he is mainly involved in the design of integrated circuits for particle detectors and photonic integrated circuits.
He has authored more than 150 papers published in books, international journals, and conference proceedings.
