Born in Pavia on 17 September 1962.
Full Professor of Tax Law.

Member of the Board of the Department of Legal Sciences 'Cesare Beccaria' of the University of Milan.
Member of the Board of Lecturers and the Board of the Doctorate Course in "Public, International and European Law" at the University of Milan.
Coordinator of the advanced training course for tax magistrates and professionals qualified to practice before tax judges - University of Milan.
Member of the Scientific Board of the 'Rivista di Diritto tributario'.
Co-director of the series "Contemporary Tax Law", member of the Board of Directors of the series "Sovereignty, Federalism, Rights", and of the Board of Directors of the series of the Department of Legal Sciences "C. Beccaria" of the University of Milan.

Training and academic career.

1986 Degree in Law from the University of Milan with a mark of 110/110 cum laude and thesis entitled "Il ruolo di riscossione" - Supervisor Prof. Gianfranco Gaffuri.

1996 Doctorate in tax law, cycle VI - at the University of Milan, with thesis entitled: "Scissione delle società commerciali e imposizione sul reddito".

2002 Researcher for Sector IUS/12, Tax Law at the University of Milan.

2005 Qualification as Professor of Tax Law.

2007 Associate Professor for the disciplinary sector IUS/12, Tax Law at the University of Milan.

2012 Coordinator of the advanced training course for tax magistrates and professionals qualified to practice before tax judges - University of Milan - Faculty of Law

2013 Qualification for the position of Professor of Tax Law.

2017 Full Professor for the disciplinary sector IUS/12, Tax Law at the University of Milan.

2019 Member of the Board of the PhD Course in "Public, International and European Law" at the University of Milan.

Research activities and scientific publications

He carries out scientific and research activities at the Department of Legal Sciences "Cesare Beccaria" of the University of Milan.

He is the author of four monographs:

- The institutions of tax cooperation. Dai comandi e controlli alla Tax Compliance, Turin, Giappichelli ed., 2018.
- La responsabilità tributaria dei liquidatori di società di capitali, Torino, Giappichelli ed., 2013;
- Il contraddittorio nei procedimenti tributari, Torino, Giappichelli ed., 2009;
- La scissione di società nell'imposizione diretta, Milano, Giuffrè ed., 1997;

He is also the author of numerous publications on tax law, which have appeared in some of the most authoritative Italian legal journals, as well as works of various kinds: articles, notes to judgments, contributions to treatises, annotated codes and editions.

Since 2017, he has been the National President of the Associazione Nazionale dei Tributaristi Italiani (ANTI).
From 2017 to 2019, he was National Counsel of the Associazione Italiana dei Professori di Diritto Tributario (AIPDT).
