Bruno Stefani: fotografia e scultura. Alcune copertine della rivista "L'Illustrazione del Medico"

Bruno Stefani dedicated the main part of his career as photographer to record Italian territory, by publishing reportages and by contributing to different magazines or institution such us Italian Touring Club. Among these, Stefani worked for the house organ “L’Illustrazione del Medico” for many decades: many Stefani’s photos of monuments, urban or landscape glimpses were published in its covers.
This essay focused on a group of covers published during ‘50s, presenting phots took since ’30s to ’50s: they showed a modern lecture of antiquity and of Italian sculptural and monumental tradition thanks both to a refined framing photographs (diagonals, clear cuts, close-up, extreme points of view) and to a fine sensitivity.
