abstract:
The collective exhibition "Italina Sculptors", held at Arts Club of Chicago (10th December 1957-23rd January 1958) was the first show dedicated just to Italina sculpture by and American Institution (despite in the exhibtion "Twentieth-Century Italian Art" at MoMA in 1949 the "New Sculpture" section was so important). At the show in Chicago works by Marini, Manzù, Minguzzi, Mirko Basaldella, Fazzini were displayed. The show was a starting point to analyze the interest for Italina sculpture in USA after WWII. Italiansculpture got a good reception by American art critics, dealers and collectors, in fact, the prize of works indreased quickly.
